For either an HSA or a traditional health insurance plan, this is the amount of money you must pay for covered Benefits before the Employer Sponsored Health Plan becomes responsible for payment. Consider only your main health insurance policy. Do not enter your deductibles for either dental or vision care. Even after you meet your deductible with a traditional plan, you may have to pay additional co-pay amounts. This will be taken into account in #4 below. With an HSA, once you meet your deductible, 100% of in-network covered medical expenses are paid by your Plan. This can be a huge savings for you and your family!
